About

I am Emma Rose, an Illustrator currently residing in the Bristol area. While I enjoy a multitude of different mediums and practices, paper crafting is my preferred way of working. I discovered paper cutting a few years ago and it won my heart, so I hope to keep exploring paper and what it can do, paper cuts be damned!

I have always been an avid reader and book collector. I hope to move into the publishing world to share my book cover designs and engage people world wide in reading. As someone who loves a special edition cover, I try to make unique, beautiful and creative designs that will make you want to display them for all to see, or make you think ‘maybe you can judge a book by it's cover!’. 

I enjoy working with bright colours and try to make my artwork playful and engaging, whether it's to grab your attention with a cover design or to communicate important topics in my editorial work. 

While my focus is on book design, editorial work and paper cutting, I am open to all opportunities and I am always up for a chat!

Education - 

2 years at the Plymouth college of art with an Extended Diploma

1 year at Falmouth University drawing course 

3 years UWE University with a degree in Illustration
